God blessed us with a bountiful crop of Irish potatoes this year. So much so, we needed 25 day-workers to help bring in the harvest. Providing much-needed work to the community is just one of the "extra" blessings of our ministry. Our primary focus is serving children in poverty, but in God's economy, we are to be stewards of His grace beyond the boundaries of our school walls. The workers were paid fairly for their efforts and also made aware that many of these potatoes will feed the kids and staff at our school. Farming is a self-sustainable activity at PPMU. Overage amounts of potatoes will be sold and all proceeds will be added to our operational funds.
We hope you enjoy the photos. They show the land we lease for farming, our workers, and the beautiful potatoes. We thank the Lord for protecting our crops this year from floods and insects.
