The sixth and seventh grade classes enjoyed an extensive geography field trip this August. The kids piled into the PPMU Taxi Van and set out to visit Kisoro District where they explored a stone quarry mine, museum, and hot springs. From there, they traveled to Lake Bunyonyi where they saw a fishing demonstration and learned about fish farming. The group was treated to a special lunch and then it was off to the Echuya Forest Reserve to learn about forestry and finally, a visit to Mgahinga National Park. The kids had a great time and learned many things about their culture and history.
Hands-on learning experiences like this helps prepare students for their national exams in November, promotes social development, and encourages them to dream about potential career paths to pursue later in life.
As always, we could not bless our students if it wasn’t for your love and support. We are very thankful for the stability you provide our school so our kids can learn and grow uninterrupted in a loving Christian environment! They are thriving in the Name of Jesus!
