Dear Friends,
We thank God for your quick response! Your initial donations of $2600 (US) have enabled us to begin Phase 1 of our Perimeter Wall Project! You’ve instilled hope and confidence into our students. When the work materials arrived, the children came out to pray over the project. The students will sleep more peacefully knowing they are protected in this extra way. To them, it is truly the hand of God. They feel so blessed and loved by you!
Our contractor and his team are already making great progress by digging a trench, laying the wall foundation with concrete stones, cement, and rebar. The kids were eager to lend a hand by moving stone bricks for the contractor. The wall must withstand the annual rainy seasons, so polythene tarp is laid to prevent moisture from damaging the structure.
As you may recall, a recent attack on a private school near PPMU caused us to take immediate safety measures by launching our Perimeter Wall Project. Given the severity of the attack, the Ugandan government strongly recommends schools have perimeter security walls around their campuses. We believe it imperative to enhance the safety of our young students and staff, aiming to deter any potential wrong doers.
Phase 2 Funding Needed
The total cost of the project is $9000 (US), so we are asking for your help once again. Phase 1 construction addresses only a section of the wall and will be complete as early as August 20, but we don’t want to lose momentum. Construction will continue only if funding is available. We're hoping to raise the next installment of $3200 (US) before September, to start Phase 2 and keep the project going without interruption.
Would you help us fundraise the next installment of $3200 (US) by sharing this email with your family and friends? Click here to support this great work today!
Thank you once again and may God bless you for your partnership.
