Can you imagine having to jump over pools of water or trudge through thick mud every time it rains? That's the reality our students and staff face during the many rainy seasons in Kabale (December - March and July - August). The good news is rain makes for great farming, the bad news is it brings mud, mud, and more mud to the PPMU campus. That's why we launched the Mud Madness Paver Project!
We're happy to report that Phase 1 is complete, and our students are very appreciative of the new pavers outside their classrooms. You can tell by their smiling faces they're happy to be clean and dry around this portion of the school. The kids even helped plant a new garden in the middle of the courtyard. Though the classroom area is looking fabulous, the importance of pavers goes beyond beautiful aesthetics. Enabling our kids and staff to maintain cleanliness and good self-hygiene ensures the overall health and wellness of everyone, and healthy kids are happy kids!
Like many of our projects in the past, we take a phased approached to completion. We fundraise, and as donations come in, the work continues. We don't take out loans or dip into our monthly operational funds. Instead, we depend on God's provision through donors like you to help us until projects like this are complete. Unfortunately, construction has now come to halt and to begin Phase 2, we need to raise another $3000 (US). Would you help keep our kids healthy and happy by donating to this wonderful project? Thank you and God bless!
