PPMU students participated in the 2024 Kabale District sporting event this April. There were over 20 schools represented, so the competition was tough. Our kids spent several days practicing and their preparation paid off! Eight of our quick-footed runners qualified for the finals with one winning the 100-meter marathon in the under 14 class. Well done, young Silas! You made our school proud!
The races were over 30 miles away, so the kids loaded up into our van along with a supply of food. There are no "fast food" restaurants available, so teams are responsible for bringing their lunches. A neighbor near the event site allowed cooks to prepare meals for the teams. The kids appreciated the break and nourishment before their next competition start time.
As you can see, our students are as bright as their neon green uniforms! Healthy and happy kids returned to school in jubilation from the day’s events.
