This November, our seventh-grade class will sit for their national exams. Exam results are critical as they determine if students are eligible to move onto high school. These bright kids have been PPMU beneficiaries since kindergarten. They've worked hard to reach this exciting milestone and their teachers are very proud and excited for them.
In preparation for testing, we make sure the students are prayed over, celebrated, well fed, and rested. Each year, our Director, Innocent Mucunguzi and his wife Karungi host a special luncheon at their home for the entire class and their teachers. The students have come to call the lunch, "Success Meal." They've worked hard to complete their primary school work. Success Meal is a joyous day of acknowledging their academic, social, and spiritual achievements.
A special church service was attended by the community to pray for each child's success. Select students read scripture out to the congregation in both English and Rukiga.
Because exams are held at the national level, results will not be known until January 2025. The teaching team is confident these kids will receive high marks, be accepted into high school, and carry the good values they've learned from a Christian education into their next phase of life.
It's been a privilege serving these kids through their primary school years. Please join us in asking God to bless and provide for them after they leave our program.
Did you know education is not free in Uganda? If you are poor, chances are you will not be able to attend school. And without an education, the cycle of poverty is likely to continue generation to generation. But because of our donors, the children in our orphanage/school can receive an education despite their poor economic standing. Would you help a child in poverty go to school by joining our cause today?
